Penguins

I received this in an email and couldn't resist sharing this with you!

Did you ever wonder why there are no dead penguins on the ice in Antarctica? Where do they go? Wonder no more!!!

It is a known fact that the penguin is a very ritualistic bird which lives an extremely ordered and complex life. The penguin is very committed to its family and will mate for life, as well as maintain a form of compassionate contact with its offspring throughout its life.

If a penguin is found dead on the ice surface, other members of the family and social circle have been known to dig holes in the ice, using their vestigial wings and beaks, until the hole is deep enough for the dead bird to be rolled into, and buried. The male penguins then gather in a circle around the fresh grave and sing:

"Freeze a jolly good fellow."
"Freeze a jolly good fellow."

Then, they kick him in the ice hole.

You really didn't believe that I knew anything about penguins, did you?

Hello world. I'm back!!!

G'day and welcome back to the digital age....

Well it has been an interesting time being put into a situation where I've felt I've been punished for doing something wrong when I was sure I hadn't. As it turns out, it was a mistake... by Twitter....

Andrea reckons it was like my arm had been cut off :-) Anyway, special thanks to my friends that have stuck by me and have been a great support.

Here is a copy of the text in the email from Twitter giving the reason why it was suspended:

I've restored your account; sorry for the inconvenience.
Please note that it may take an hour or so for your follower and following numbers to return to normal.
Thanks,

Seems that a human responded to me ;-) Well it's lovely to be back and time to get on tweeting again.

20 Questions With... Me!

A short while ago Dr Bron Harman asked me if I would be interested in participating in a blog post. I thought this would be a great opportunity to share a little more about me.

Check out her blog here http://drharmanmodernfamily.blogspot.com.au/2012/02/20-questions-with-alex-cole.html?spref=tw and please leave a comment.

Are there any un-asked questions or answers you think I need to clarify? I'd be interested to hear your thoughts....
